For an Individual Person, there are 2 types of Loan and debts …..
1. Secured Loans – Loans and Debts which are backed by collateral and mortgage as security of loan being given are called secured loans.
• Collateral Loans
loan against Real Estate and Paper Assets : any asset which can considered as collateral asset against the loan provides such as – Houses, shop, land, share, bonds, Mutual funds, Insurance, PPF, other deposits, –
• Mortgage Loans
Loan against real estate or physical properties with registered mortgage contract or agreements. – Home loan and Car loan are most common example of Mortgage Loans
• Other Secured Loans ( Loan Against Property )
Note: Interest rate are often very lower on Secured loans in comparison with Unsecured loans,
Secured Loans have larger tenure of repaying, e.g. Home Loan – Mostly 20 years,
2. Unsecured Loans – Loans and Debts which are not backed by any collateral and mortgage as security of loan being given are called unsecured loans.
• Credit Card
• Personal Loans
o for vacations,
o for marriage,
o for any personal needs
• Consumer Loans – Loan taken for consumable items, like – Mobile, TV. A.C. Washing Machine, and other household items, which loose value each passing day…
• Other Unsecured Loans
